இருட்டுக்கு பயந்து
இமைக்கதவை மூடிக்கொண்டேன்
உள்ளே புது இருட்டு
“உர்” என்றது

அவன் வீட்டு சாக்கடையில்
அடுத்த வீட்டு நாய்படுத்துப்
புரளுவது ஒரு வழக்கமாச்சு.
உரிமையால்
ஆனமட்டும் விரட்டிப் பார்த்தும்
அது நகரவில்லை, ஒரு நாள்
ஆளுயுரத் தடியெடுத்து
ஆத்திரத்தால் அடித்துவிட
அது வள்ளென வால் மடக்கிக்
குதித்தோட,
அவன் வாய்க்குள்ளே
சள்ளென சகதி விழுந்தது தெறித்து.
அவன் வீட்டு சகதி.

குணச்சித்திரம் : 1 – ஐ(இ)காரஸ் பிரகாஷ்

இந்தத் தொடரைப் பதிந்து வைக்கலாம் என்றவுடன் பத்ரி, மூக்கன், மதி, ஆசிப், குசும்பன் போன்ற வலையோர்கள் ஞாபகம் வந்தார்கள். அவர்களைக் குறித்த என் அனுமானங்களையும் சந்தித்த சரித்திரங்களையும் நினைவுக்கு எட்டிய வரை குறிப்பதாக திட்டம்.அமெரிக்க டிவியில் தொடர்கள் ஒளிபரப்பாவதற்கு ஒத்திகையாக வெள்ளோட்டத்தை pilot என்றழைத்து ‘புலி வருது’ கணக்காக மார்க்கெட்டுவார்கள். அந்த மாதிரிதான் பிரகாஷை பிள்ளையார் சுழியிடுவது.

இணையத்தில் வளைய வந்ததை வைத்து, கண் கட்டிய நிலையில் கொம்பைக் கொண்டு உறி அடிப்பது போன்ற விளையாட்டு. சில சமயம் துணியை சரியாகக் கட்டாததல் இலக்கு துல்லியமாகத் தெரியும். சுற்றி விடுபவரே pinata-வுக்கு 180 டிகிரியில் நிற்கவைத்து அனுப்பும் போங்கும் நடக்கும். கன்ணாடியைக் கழற்றினாலே முழுக்குருடான என்னைப் போன்றோருக்கு யானையைத் தடவி அறியும் பயிற்சியாகவும் கொள்ளலாம்.

ஒரே வாரத்தில் வழக்கு விழுந்தால், காலைக் கையைப் பிடித்தால், இளகும் தன்மை உடையவர். அவரை வைத்தே மண்டகப்படியை ஆரம்பிக்கலாம்.

எல்லா நல்ல எழுத்தாளர்களைப் போல் ஆரம்பத்தில் புயலென்று வந்தவர். ராயர் காபி க்ளபில் நுழைந்த போது இருந்த வீரியம் குரல்வலை: பின் தொடரும் நிழலின் குரல் : தருமம் மறுபடி வெல்லும்! போன்ற பின்னூட்டங்களில் எப்போதாவது இன்னும் எட்டிப் பார்த்துக் கொண்டுதானிருக்கிறது.

‘ஆறும் அது ஆழமில்ல‘ என்பது போல் அழுத்தம் ஜாஸ்தி. அந்தளவு போட்டுப் பார்ப்பதில் வல்லவர் என்பதை வெளிக்காட்டாமல் மந்தமாக இருப்பதே கஷ்டமான சாமர்த்தியம். ஆனால், புரை தீர்ந்த நன்மை தரும் லாவகத்துடன் ‘எடுக்கவோ, கோர்க்கவோ‘ என நம்மிடம் கையாள்பவர்.

பிரகாஷை இரு முறை நேரில் சந்தித்திருக்கிறேன். எழுத்தைப் போலவே எளிமையான, முதிர்ச்சியான 😛 தோற்றம். சூப்பர் ஸ்டார் ரசிகன் என்பதற்கேற்ப பேச்சில் வேகம். தள்ளி விலகாமல் நொடியில் அரவணைக்கும் நட்பு பாராட்டுதல். ITC பங்கை வாங்கி வைக்கச் சொல்லும் பழக்கம்.

பிரகாஷின் எழுத்தில் உள்ள நெகிழ்ச்சி, பேச்சில் மிஸ்ஸிங். அது எனக்கு ஏமாற்றமா என்று சொல்லத் தெரியவில்லை என்கிறார் மூக்கு சுந்தர். திண்ணையில் தனது குருவை விவரிக்கும் ஜெயமோகன் ‘அவரே தன் கல்வியை வெளிக்காட்டும் தருணங்கள் குறைவு. நாம் கேள்வி கேட்கையில் அவர் அதற்கான சிறிய ஆனால் கச்சிதமான விளக்கத்தை அளிப்பார்’ என்பார்.

இது இரண்டுக்கும் நடுவாந்தரமான கேந்திரத்தில், விவாதத்தை வளர்க்க, தொய்வு ஏற்படும்போது வெட்டிப் பேசுபவர்.

ராயர் காபி க்ளபில் இரா முருகன், வெங்கடேஷ், பாரா, எல்லே ராம், சொக்கன் என்று பஞ்ச பூதங்கள் ரஷித்தால், பாஞ்சாலியாக எல்லோரையும் மேய்த்தவர். பாஞ்சாலிக்கு கர்ணனையும் பிடிக்கும் என்பதுபோல் மரத்தடி பக்கமும் ஒதுங்கி பங்கெடுத்தவர். திரௌபதியின் வெளிப்படையான துடுக்குடன் Maraththadi : Message# 10053 மிளிர்ந்தவர், வானபிரஸ்தம் மேற்கொண்ட க்ளபிற்குப் பிறகு, விஸ்வரூபம் காட்டாமல், கில்லிக் குடுவையில் அடைந்து கிடக்கிறார்.

Pathbreaking-ஆக தனிப் பதிவில் குடித்தனம். மெத்தனமான தமிழ்ப்பதிவுகளுக்கு சூடான முன்னோடி ஒருங்கிணைப்பாக கில்லி. தமிழரின் தொன்மையான பற்றுக்களமான படத்திற்காக ட்ரிவியாபேட்டை.

ஜெயமோகன் (நித்ய சைதன்ய யதி நினைவு)

உண்மையை தனக்குத்தானே ஒப்புக்கொள்ள மறுத்தார். அதை என்னால் நுட்பமாக உணர முடிகிறது. அவரே உருவாக்கிய கனவு. அதன் சரிவை இல்லை என கற்பனைசெய்ய அவர் விரும்பினார். சரியாகிவிடும், இதெல்லாம் சிறு பிசிறுகள் மட்டுமே என சமாதானம் செய்துகொள்ள முயன்றார். உண்மையைக் காண்பதை அவர் கடைசி நிமிடம் வரை ஒத்திப்போட்டார்.

காரணம் உண்மை அவ்வளவு கொடூரமானது. அவரது உடலை கூறுபோடும் வாள் போன்றது அவ்வுண்மை. அவரது அதுநாள் வரையிலான வாழ்க்கையே ஒரு பெரிய பிழை என்று சொல்லக்கூடியது அவ்வுண்மை. அவர் தன் மொத்த வாழ்க்கையை தன் படைப்புகளை மொத்தமாக நிராகரிக்கவேண்டியிருக்கும். அவ்வேதனையை அவர் அஞ்சினார். அவ்வெறுமையை அவர் தவிர்க்க முயன்றார்.

An exact comprehension of the composer’s intent

I can’t write you because everything’s

How women altered the business landscape

40 percent of all privately held companies in the United States are owned or headed by women.

Every day, she says, 420 women-owned businesses emerge in the United States and women-owned companies are creating jobs twice as fast as all other companies combined and pay more salaries than all of the Fortune 500 companies.

“Women’s companies are more likely than others to stay in business, while companies owned by women of color are four times as likely as others to stay in business,” Heffernan writes.

In “How She Does It,” Heffernan focuses on the stories of 26 women entrepreneurs and business executives to show why they went into business and why they have been so successful. They all had something to prove to themselves, she writes. Some thought that they had been undervalued by their employers.

They thought that a rejected idea had merit, that they were financially responsible, and that their ways of doing things could be as effective as the predominant macho styles.

“In this respect,” Heffernan writes, “women entrepreneurs remind me of a wave of immigrants: driven out of a land they found hostile, taking big risks in their determination to create a New World where they can succeed on their own terms. America was built by such pioneers and, today, its economy continues to be enriched by the fresh thinking of women who don’t accept defeat.”

Other factors besides the need to achieve and transcend gender stereotypes that propel the women featured in Heffernan’s book are:

  • A high capacity for empathy that contributes to zeitgeist, the intuitive ability to see ahead to the next need, trend, and potential opportunity.
  • A greater propensity for improvisation.
  • A leadership style that favors orchestration over command and control.
  • A greater emphasis on values than on profits.
  • A nurturing concern for the well-being of their employees.

 “Every woman I spoke to may have had a slightly different reason for starting her business,” she writes. “But what motivated them after they had started was strikingly uniform: They were all driven to succeed for their workforce. They may have started for themselves, but they kept going for others.”
